Staniel Cay offers visitors an out island vacation like no other, and will have you wanting to return again and again. Pilots with private planes, cruising yachts, and families make this island their vacation destination to relax, and enjoy the beauty of the Bahamas in a natural environment.
The island of Staniel Cay can be considered a small hub in the Central Exuma Cays, as it has a small airport and is easily accessible from both the United States and Nassau. Private pilots as well as select small airlines arrive daily. The island itself only has less than 100 year round residents, which makes it the perfect Out Island, 'out of the way' vacation spot. It is also the jumping off point for reaching Sampson Cay, Compass Cay and Fowl Cay. The island is located midway in the chain of the Exuma Cays, with close proximity to Nassau, Exuma, Andros, and Eleuthera making it a wonderful place for cruising sailboats and yachts. A vacation to Staniel Cay provides everything to do, or nothing to do. The choice is yours. You can just enjoy the cooling sea breezes, spectacular sunsets, and powder sand white beaches, or party it up with the guests at the marina and socialize at the Staniel Cay Yacht Club. Either way, Staniel Cay will be an island that will want you to come back year after year.
FLYING TO STANIEL CAY

Getting to Staniel Cay is easy if you are flying out of Watermaker's Airocated at the Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport. The airline usually has a morning and an afternoon flight available, based on demand. When you leave the coastline of the states, and enter into the Bahamian waters, you will notice a gradual change in color of the water from deep blue, to a clear, aquamarine-turquoise blue. Flying over the Bahamas is an incredibly beautiful experience, so be sure to have your camera handy. It is a short hour an a half flying time, including clearing customs on the island of Andros.
